Fish Health Manager

As Nordic Aqua continues to grow, so does our responsibility for the health and welfare of our fish and the environment in which they grow. We are therefore looking for a Fish Health Manager to take a central professional role in our organisation.
As Fish Health Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring strong fish health, welfare, and biosecurity through systematic health management, professional follow-up, data-driven improvement, and active participation in our quality and management systems. You will contribute to continuous improvement and help ensure that our operations meet requirements from authorities and customers, as well as our internal standards and objectives.
You will work closely with the farming team at our RAS facility in Xiangshan, combining operational follow-up with professional advice and development work. You will also contribute to developing routines and working methods, sharing knowledge, and strengthening learning and competence across the organisation.
Main Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for fish health monitoring and daily follow-up to maintain healthy stocks.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve fish health systems, SOPs, and biosecurity protocols.
- Lead training and capacity building across the farming organisation.
- Lead emergency on-call responses and ensure rapid intervention in the event of abnormal health situations.
- Support the Quality Department with compliance matters and regulatory reporting.
- Assist the Farming Manager in developing fish health strategies, risk assessments, and long-term action plans, providing data-driven insights to support production decisions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Aquaculture, Fish Health, Veterinary Science, or a related field, with strong English proficiency.
- Proven experience in fish health management or a similar role. Early-career candidates with a strong background in fish health-related studies or research, a commitment to excellence, and the potential to grow into the role will also be considered.
- Sound knowledge of disease diagnosis, treatment protocols, and biosecurity principles in aquaculture.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and continuously improve SOPs and fish health management systems.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret health data and translate findings into actionable insights for the farming team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness and ability to participate in on-call arrangements and respond to emergency health events.
